Grade A's are earned...the NRA knows leadership on the 2nd amendment when they see it. Regarding Rusty McGuire's rating, NRA Virginia State Liaison Andrew Jennison said: “Our members will interpret your ‘A’ rating as being a pro-Second Amendment/pro-hunting candidate who supporters gun owners and sportsmen.”
McGuire said, "I am very proud to have received this rating. As an NRA member, Army infantryman and a gun owner, it means a lot to me to know that the NRA understands my strong pro-Second Amendment views. Along with the endorsements of Neil Atkinson, owner of DeGoff’s and Pat Hopkins from Green Top I believe this rating is compelling evidence as to why I am the strongest candidate when it comes to protecting the 2nd Amendment rights of Hanover’s citizens."
