BREAKING....Delegate Frank Hargrove (R-Hanover) will not run for re-election in 55th House District

Posted by MAXIMUS

Delegate Frank Hargrove, (R-Hanover), a Virginia Gentleman through and through, is not running for re-election to the Virginia House of Delegates. The 55th District that he represents, largely a Hanover County District, is as red as it gets in Virginia.

The upcoming Republican primary for this seat will be tantamount to winning the general election--thus, the GOP primary will be where the action is on this race---more coming on the three GOP candidates vying for the nomination later.

For now, a big thank you to Delegate Frank Hargrove for a wonderful record of service to America, his state, and his beloved Hanover County. From his legislative website:

Who are the three vying to replace Delegate Hargrove?

Your comments about Frank Hargrove are right on the mark. He has served Hanover well and leaves big shoes to fill. However, they must be filled and done so quickly. I have been working with Senator Ryan McDougle for several months reviewing the budget and the 2008 election. As a conservative, and as a citizen of Hanover, I am very concerned with our budget decisions and how Hanover education gets funded. It is for these reason that I have decided to run for Mr. Hargrove's seat. I am a retired Naval Officer with extensive budgeting and government analysis experience. You can visit my website at www.BurchForDelegate.com. Again, many thanks to Frank Hargrove and I will see you on the campaign trail.
