Why Tim Kaine was not chosen as Vice President

Posted by MAXIMUS

The Democratic National Convention starts next Monday. The Washington Post is reporting that sources close to Virgina Democratic Governor Tim Kaine was told yesterday that he was not going to be the Vice Presidential ticket mate of Barack Hussein Obama. The WP is reporting that at this moment, Virginia Governor Tim Kaine is in Denver, Colorado prepping for the Democratic National Convention that starts this Monday. Why exactly is Kaine in Colorado now instead of working with the Virginia legislature to solve the $1 BILLION BUDGET SHORTFALL, or the TRANSPORTATION CRISIS, or the CHILD CARE CRISIS, or the DRILLING OFFSHORE CRISIS? Simple, Kaine puts politics before good governance.

Governor Tim Kaine didn't get picked to run as Vice President because he doesn't know how to prioritize or solve important issues for the citizens he promised to effectively serve.

According to Fox News Analyst Dick Morris, in not choosing Tim Kaine as his Vice Presidential running mate: "Obama decided he didn't need a playmate, he needed someone who knows where the men's room is in the White House." Heck, can anyone really say that Kaine ever found the men's room in the Governor's Mansion?

Aside from lack of experience on National Defense and Foreign Affairs, Kaine was not chosen because as Governor he has failed to effectively produce results. Is it too much to ask that a Governor have at least one successful policy initiative before being elevated as a candidate for the Vice Presidency? Not at all. I'm glad Obama agrees with me here.

If Kaine can't swim in the deep end of the pool in Virgina, how can he keep his head above water in Washington D.C.? The closest Kaine gets to the White House is visiting his son at George Washington University.

I disagree to some extent. While not a supporter of Kaine, he has fought the leftists and socialists in his Party here in Va that have sought a ridiculous and economically cripling environmental policy and energy platform. Diaries from Lowell, Green Miles etc at Raising Kaine illustrate the divide that has been caused on wedge issues within the Party structure itself here in VA.In the end off shore drilling will most likely be coming the next cycle anyway I think. Even the RK folks can't manage to address the Obama platform on energy with any real cohesion; afterall he NV (not voted) the Offshore Drilling in VA bill in the Senate last year afterall. Not a shining vote of confidence to the environmental socialists at RK. Kaine as sought to at the very least govern more like Warner and VA has preserved its Best Business State status while also approving the Wise County plant. RK croonies can't get around just how better our electric generation systems are here in Va when compared to other States and they are completely naive to the influence the railroad industry has not only on our economy but our politics. I give Kaine credit for doing little harm that those at RK endorse daily when it comes to economic policy. I also give him credit for endorsing Obama almost two years ago while RK was at the time pro-Hillary. They have of course changed their tune; I still can't get how they can love Warner and Obama....have they no clue as to the complete ideological differences between Obama'a policy views and Mark Warner's. Liberal and clueless. These are the same folks that ran Kaine's name through the mud after he endorsed Connolly for his Congressional bid over continual liberal loser Leslie Byrne and the people whose goal it is is to have Virginia turn into another Maryland.
