Veterans in Virginia Disapprove of Barack Obama and Michelle Obama--EXPLAINED

Things are good and getting better for the Vets for McCain Organization in Virginia. One out of every nine people in Virginia is a Veteran of the Armed Forces--and they are flocking to support the McCain/Palin ticket in droves.

Overwhelmingly, Virginia Veterans believe that Obama, and his wife Michelle, have a misguided understanding of what it means to be a Veteran and what it means to selflessly serve your country--without the promise of return benefit. Veterans, unlike the Obama's, get involved with politics to accomplish something--not to become somebody.

Small town Virginia Veterans especially distrust and despise Obama. Why? Could it be comments like this from Barack Obama:

"You go into these small towns...and they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

These small towns are EVERYTHING that a Veteran is fighting for. These towns represent THE United States to many veterans. These towns are WORTH serving your country for and they are worth dying to protect. Many Virginia Veterans have died because they want to protect THE United States that they know---Main Street, County Fairs, High School Football Games, Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, hanging out at the Auto Parts store, tubing down the river, and late night loitering in the Dairy Queen parking lot. Obama doesn't understand why Virginia Veterans selflessly sacrifice for their country. Obama is intolerant and indignant about the manner in which others happily live life in towns with populations of less than 30,000 people--towns not at all like Chicago, Jakarta, or Hawaii.

MICHELLE OBAMA doesn't get how Veterans sacrifice for their country either. Michelle Obama said that she only became proud of the United States when her husband started winning primaries against Hillary Rodham Clinton. To wit:

"For the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country."

Michelle Obama only BECAME proud of her country when something political was given to her husband. She wasn't proud of her country when Veterans started coming home in body bags from Afghanistan after sacrificing themselves to fight against the Taliban. These veterans actually took an oath to support and defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. While Michelle Obama's husband, Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Hussein Obama, was serving on a Bank Board with Bill Ayers, the man who was convicted of bombing the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol, the Veterans of Virginia were serving in places like Grenada, Panama, and the European Theater facing down the Soviet Threat.

Virginia Veterans served in the Armed Forces of the United States for love of country. The Obama's serve the Democratic Party for the benefit of themselves.
The Obama's narcissism is only slightly eclipsed by their unique practice of palatial aggrandizement. This is the "change" that the Obama's want to bring to the United States and Virginia Veterans see right through it. Veterans, and all of America, knows Emperor Obama has a temple, but he has no clothes. Obama's Cult of Personality meshes nicely with his social relativism. How may we--those of us who have made the sacrifice and risked it all--how may we serve a couple who has risked nothing but wants everything?
