Charlie Judd, the executive director for the Republican Party of Virginia for the last year and six months and a former candidate for RPV Chairman, has resigned the position of Executive Director with the Republican Party of Virginia. He cleared his office out and left today.
Frank Loehr, the Chief Financial Officer for RPV, resigned as well...he cleared his office out and left today.
Mackenzie Smith, Fundraising Counsel for RPV (whatever that is) ....has cleared her office out and left today.
Wyatt Stewart IV, Deputy Director of Development for RPV has cleared out his office and left today.
Matthew Gray, Director of Development for RPV has cleared out his office and left today.
Former Chairman John Hager has cleared out his office and left the building today.
Newly elected 2nd Congressional District GOP Chairman Gary Byler is lurking around every nook and cranny at RPV. As a close consigliari of Frederick's team, Byler is taking a hands on role in personally supervising the Frederick transition effort from Richmond--he's tearing back the carpets and inspecting the closets on East Grace Street till newly elected RPV Chairman Jeff Frederick returns from a week long vacation that he and his family are presently taking in South Carolina--ETA RTB (estimated time of arrival on return to base) next week.
In other news, Frederick has asked RPV First Vice Chairman Mike Thomas and Virginia's RNC National Committeewoman Kathy Hayden-Terry to serve on his transition team--this is a good move on Frederick's part.

This is great news! Now the RPV can move forward. So much the the unity chants we've been hearing from the country club Republicans.
I believe Gary Byler will certainly assist the transition effort and may even be running it from behind the scenes, but why was he left off of the Transition Team published on the Frederick website?

I hope we can move forward as a unified Party. I am getting the feeling that the word "Unity" is only used when the moderate wing of the Party wins. When Trisha Stall defeated Marty Williams last spring in a primary, the moderates bailed and did not "fully" back her, and as a result the Republicans lost the seat. If it had been a moderate who won and the conservatives behind Trisha, or whomever, refused to back the nominee, the moderates would have gone crazy.
Nice double standard we have here.
