GOV. KAINE'S OFFICE TELLS DAD OF SLAIN OFFICER TO PACK SAND

Posted by MAXIMUS

The Associated Press is reporting that Richard Timbrook, father of murdered Winchester Police Sgt. Rick Timbrook, left a message with Gov. Kaine's Office on Wednesday. The message? He wanted to speak with Gov. Kaine. He wanted to ask the Governor about the decision to stay the execution of the man that killed his son--Edward Bell. Link to the story here:

The Governor did not take Richard Timbrook's call.

The Governor has not returned Richard Timbrook's call.

The Governor's spokesman, Gordon Hickey, said "The governor had no further comment on the stay."

The dad of the murdered police officer said, "...We are the ones who are being hurt, not Bell's family..."

Governor Kaine took time out of his official schedule to campaign for Barrack Hussein Obama's Presidential Campaign in Kansas. Yet, the Governor doesn't have time to talk to the father of a murdered son?

Governor Kaine took time out of his official schedule to conduct teleconferences with the National Media to discuss Barrack Hussein Obama's Economic Platform. Yet, the Governor doesn't have time to talk to the father of a murdered son?

Governor Kaine took time out of his official schedule to have dinner with the disgraced Governor Eliot Spitzer (D-NY). Yet, the Governor doesn't have time to talk to the father of a murdered son?

Governor Kaine took time out of his schedule to give a speech to the Virginia Democrat Party's Jefferson Jackson Day Dinner in Richmond, VA. Yet, the Governor doesn't have time to talk to the father of a murdered son?

Governor Kaine takes time out of his schedule to ride bikes in state parks with his children. Yet, the Governor doesn't have time to talk to the father of a murdered son?

I am in disbelief that Governor Kaine can't find the time to talk to the father of a slain police officer when the Governor's decision is having a direct negative impact on the family of this officer.

I am in disbelief that Governor Kaine will not comment further on why he will not return the call of this slain officer's dad.

Governor Kaine's use of sugary rhetoric during the 2005 Governor's campaign has apparently rotted his teeth out. What ferments in there now is the rotten hubris that flows from a politicians mouth once they've been caught in a lie.

Too busy to take a phone call from a man whose son was murdered? Governor Kaine needs to stop hiding from the consequences of his decisions. Wasn't this Governor supposed to be accountable to all citizens?

I am totally outraged by the govenors decision to stay the execution of Edward Nathaniel Bell. The family has waited 9 long years for justice. Is it cruel and unusual punishment to shoot someone point blank in the face? To take the life of someone before they even see the face of their unborn child? I knew Sgt.Rick Timbrook since middle school he was an athletic, kind person who went on to become a police officer and was an asset to his community. Is it cruel and unusual punishment to take the life of someone who gave of themselves so unselfishly and was devoted to public service? To take the life of a husband,Brother,Son,Father? In comparison,I think Lethal Injection for Edward Bell is a fitting punishment for the life he took away.We will never know what potential Sgt .Rick Timbrook still held because Mr. Bell took that away when he took his life. There was no one to grant Sgt Rick Timbrook a stay of his execution and no one will ever replace what this family has lost but Mr bell should pay with his life.

I'm outraged by people who claim to be outraged by this perfectly rational decision in the face of a pending case before the U.S. Supreme Court. The Governor issued a temporary stay. You'll have your blood, and you and the murderer will go to hell together.

Just wait until it is your family affected by a cold blooded killer, maybe your opinions will change. Have him over for dinner and accept that he has changed his life for the better. Forgive him if you can when it's your son or daughter. You are a typical tree hugging hypocrite.
