The Mainstream Media on the Duplicity that is Barack Hussein Obama

Posted by MAXIMUS

Stanley Kurtz on Obama --

"Obama says he’s too close, and too personally indebted to [the Rev. Dr.] Wright, to break with him. But how did he get close to Wright to begin with? Wright could not have taken up so huge a space in Obama’s life unless Obama had let Wright in. And Obama let Wright in because of Wright’s sermons, not in spite of them."

Lynn Sweet of the Chicago Sun-Times on Obama --

"Obama admitted in his speech that he personally heard some of Wright’s fiery rhetoric. “Did I know him to be an occasionally fierce critic of American domestic and foreign policy? Of course. Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in the church? Yes.”
On Friday, Obama, in an interview with the Chicago Sun-Times, Obama said something different. “I'll be honest with you. I wasn't in church when any of those sermons were issued.”

DOES OBAMA EVEN KNOW WHO HE AND HIS DESPICABLE PASTOR HAVE OFFENDED MOST, AND WHY HIS FAVORABILITY RATING IS IN FREEFALL?

Why is a guy who grew up a rich kid with a Kenyan father and Southern White mother (no ties to being a slave whatsoever) lecturing Northern Whites regarding the Civil War when it was our ancestors who fought and died in the Union Army to free the slaves?

Is Obama kidding or what? Yes, Senator Obama, let’s have a discussion about race in America and then maybe you’ll understand why you are in absolute freefall against John McCain in States like New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and Michgian.

Maximus,

I'm going to pray for you. I am astounded by the fact that your reaction to Barack Obama's speech is to call him a liar.

Most of us have imperfect friends, families, and ministers. The Christian religion acknowledges our imperfectnesses and encourages us to be compassionate instead of judgmental and cynical.

This is the first time I have seen a presidential contender being attacked on the imperfectness of his minster. At the same time that McCain is associating with ministers who utter anti-catholic epithets and the media is not reporting this.

When they can't find any real dirt on a candidate who will make real changes in our system then friends, family, and the pastor are fair game. Since none of us knows perfect people there is always something that can be used and spun.

I'm not electing Obama's minister to office...though after researching some of his other speeches and hearing from whites who attend Obama's church....I can easily say that I would love to attend Obama's church on a regular basis. The work of the Trinity Unity Church and minister(taken in context) is highly regarded and commendable.

Read the transcripts of Barack Obama's speech...better yet watch the speech. I think he is open and gives us all a full explanation. Read Rev. Wright's sermon, the audacity of hope, some of his books, and check out the church he has shepharded through the decades and the work it has accomplished before you let a few soundbites on YouTube be your entire foundation for an erroneous opinion.

We can allow the corporate media (my words not Obamas) to continue to DISTRACT US then the status quo will persist and we will remain a divided nation.

We have a great opportunity in this election to strive together to reach common goals such as creating a healthy economy, getting out of the Iraq War, Quality Health care for everyone, develop new energy resources, get the corporate special interests lobbyists money out of our governmental system...or we can concentrate on such bullshit as who has the more perfect minister.

I agree with Obama's assertion that we all have more things in common than we have differences....

If we choose to be "distracted" there will be no change....and we may stay "distracted" until our government is bankrupt and our country is even more divided and in chaos.

It is in the American people's hands to decide. I am through listening to the pundits who have been proven wrong time and again. The corporations want the status quo to remain so they prefer to "distract" us....and then they will continue to make huge profits....at our expense.

I'm working for change.
