Colombia Free Trade Agreement going to Congress without DEM blessing

From thr print version of Politico:

The White House is moving toward sending the Colombia Free Trade Agreement to Congress without the blessing of Democratic leaders.' White House officials say they want to address concerns. But trade-promotion rules lay out a 90-day timeline, and the administration wants to avoid reaching 'a point where there aren't 90 legislative days left on the calendar, essentially allowing Congress to push the vote off until next year.

Spank That Donkey said...

President Uribe of Columbia has turned that Nation around and bottled up FARC which protect the cocaine traffickers.

Hugo Chavez's real designs on supporting FARC, and overthrowing the effective Uribe is to control the lucrative cocaine trade.

Chavez is a leftist. Democrats are leftist's. Democrats do not want to give a Free Trade agreement to Columbia because it will help the Columbian Free Markets expand all the more, and help them finally crush the FARC.

This should be no surprise to anyone.
