The Sofa Effect and Electability

Over at Politico Jim VandeHei and John Harris write about the 'SOFA EFFECT.'Ambitious Republican politicians at the state and local levels are not deciding that this is the year to make a bid for higher office. Republican contributors are not opening their wallets and writing campaign checks. Most striking of all, Republican voters are not heading to the polls to vote in the GOP primaries in anything like participation rates of early years.' A quote from Walter Shapiro about electability polls between potential DEM/REP match ups 'Democratic voters last time knew exactly who their opponent would be - and they still could not calculate electability.'

I think our top 5 beats there top 3 in a beat down. This will be the roughest general election of our lifetime no matter who the nominees are.
