Meet your Chesterfield Government Officials

The Government Representatives for the Matoaca District on the School Board, BOS and Planning Commission will begin to honor their election promises with several community meeting starting tonight. Matoaca School Board member U. Omarh Rajah, Matoaca District Supervisor Marleen K. Durfee and veteran Planning Commissioner F. Wayne Bass will be holding a series of gatherings with district residents. The meetings are designed to speak to community-specific concerns like planning, transportation, schools, taxes and roads. The meetings will be held tonight and throughout February, schedule is below:

Today at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of Matoaca High School, 17700 Longhouse Lane;
Monday at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of Cosby High School, 14300 Fox Club Parkway;
Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of Manchester High School, 12601 Bailey Bridge Road; and Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria of Evergreen Elementary School, 1701 Evergreen E. Parkway. -- Wesley P. Hester
