Looks matter in the U.S ? Really, you've gotta be kidding

ABC News has another fluff piece on Hillary Clinton where they make the assertion that Hillary Clinton's looks are more scrutinized than her male a culture where tabloids are hardest on women celebrities (one week they're fat, the next to skinny) why is this even news-worthy, Hillary has never been know for her looks to begin with and they're only going to go down hill as she gets older. Below are some sympathy quotes from the article that quotes undoubtedly other ugly women on the perceived double standard.....ironically you never hear Tyra Banks or Julia Roberts talk about the ills of being judged on their looks.

"There's no doubt that [Clinton] is held to a different standard — the evaluation of appearance has always been traditionally different for female candidates," said Sarah Brewer, the associate director of the Women and Politics Institute at American University...."It's really very sexist," Geraldine Ferraro, a former vice presidential candidate, told "Nobody is going to say they don't like how [Illinois Sen.] Barack Obama looks and nobody is going to say that about [former North Carolina Sen.] John Edwards."
