13 New Schools in Chesterfield should do the trick

The Chesterfield School Board approved a plan totaling over $600 Million to address overcrowded schools situation here by building a total of 13 new schools through a bond referendum slated to be voted on in 2012. The proposal calls for three new high schools, six new elementary schools and four new middle schools to be built (pending passage of the bond referendum) and be ready for business starting in 2015. This plan needs to be approved by the Chesterfield BOS first so will probably go through some revisions but it was a necessary bold first step for the school board to propose and will hit at the heart of the overcrowded school situation in Chesterfield.

The Chesterfield Observer has great coverage of this issues at in the "special" section
